No tribute to the influencers of the custom CE world would be complete without recognition of Eric Bodley’s work. A tireless educator, Bodley’s training sessions, seminar, speeches and articles are among the widely attended and highly regarded in the business. In addition to be in a Past-President of CEDIA, Bodley works extensively with virtually every other trade group of consequence to the industry, though his knowledge isn’t relegated solely to the ivory tower—he gets down in the trenches as well. His consulting group has trained over 200 specialty retailers and custom installation companies in management, sales operations, and installation strategies, and his IHAVS™ training program for effectively selling custom services at retail is the most widely used program of its type. Eric’s experience comes from doing: his own Florida-based Home Entertainment Design has already gone through many of the growth cycles that other companies aspire to, and his strategies on everything from proposal generation to when opening a showroom makes sense server as models for system designers and C-tailers everywhere. |
